Formed in 2003, africade is a dynamic travel company that operates from Cape Town, South Africa.

We are specialists in wellness travel, and have traveled extensively throughout Southern and East Africa. Being a small company we pride ourselves on the highly personalized service that we provide for a discerning clientele.

Our creative itineraries, attention-to-detail and passion for travel are the ingredients of our success, and the reason that we enjoy such a high rate of return clients.

Claudia Batschari 

Claudia hails from Frankfurt, Germany. Before moving to South Africa in 1996 she lived in the USA and Italy, and has travelled extensively throughout the world. She speaks three languages and has a deep understanding of people and the diversity of cultures that share our earth.

Health and Wellness is a subject close to Claudia's heart, and all spas and properties featured in this site have been hand-picked for their own unique and special features.

Claudia is a highly respected member of the travel industry, and has travelled widely within Africa. Her vast experience and excellent work ethic ensure that all clients receive personalised service of the highest standard.

Richard Boome  

Richard was born and bred in Cape Town, South Africa. Having completed a law degree at the University of Cape Town in 1992, he left Africa to explore the world and didn’t return until 4 years (and six continents) later.

To say that travel is his passion would be an understatement! Richard is always ready to pack his bags for the next adventure, and has traveled many miles in Africa discovering the diverse people and places of this great continent.
