Each lodge has its own distinctive character and charm….
Boulders
(9 suites all with own plunge pool)
Contemporary and airy, the Lodge at Boulders is inspired by the rough natural geometry of the rocks among which it is built. Boulders is at the forefront of contemporary African style. Innovative design and natural hues accentuate a sense of space that flows in from the surrounding vistas through floor to ceiling glass walls of each lavish suite.
Hot clean air, the dark refreshing water of a private plunge pool, and space. Light and spacious, completely private yet open to the view, each suite at Boulders presents a unique and contemporary view of luxurious African living.
Ebony
(9 suites each with a private plunge pool)
Ebony reflects a more gracious charm and quiet opulence of its colonial past with new splashes of tribal colour adding a vibrant sense of cultural Africa to this romantic setting.
From the cool and sumptuous folds of a leather sofa, you'll watch a giraffe browse on a distant acacia, or you yourself may browse from the extensive library in the quiet of the afternoon.
Set in the dappled shade of ebony trees on the banks of the Sand River, the suites at Ebony are completely private, cool and spacious, and each with its own plunge pool. On the deck, you may spend time alone in reflection, or enjoy a gourmet dinner for two in the most romantic of settings.
Lebombo
Elevated on a sheer cliff top overlooking the confluence of the Nwanetsi and Sweni Rivers, 15 luxurious, fully air conditioned loft-style suites have sweeping 360° views. A further six exclusive suites overlook the Sweni River.
Constructed almost entirely of bleached wood and glass in an open, contemporary style each luxury suite offers absolute exclusivity and privacy with a wooden game viewing deck complete with an outside bed and shower.
You will look out from your timber and glass guest unit at the continent's vast canvas. Under a slatted roof, you will experience all the shades of Africa's shifting light. All-season indoor and outdoor areas offer spacious, elegant and luxurious refinement. Dine indoors or out whilst watching game traverse the vast open grassland.
Our dedicated Bush Spa offers a comprehensive activity and personal treatment programme, whilst the African Trading Store showcases Africa's finest and most exclusive clothing, artworks and decorative ware. Interact with Africa's surroundings from our open LandRovers - or an optional walking safari - guided by the expert knowledge of our experienced rangers and game trackers.
Singita's private concession within the Kruger Park remains exclusive to Singita Lebombo guests.
Castleton Camp
(4 twin rooms and 2 double rooms)
Castleton Camp, once the private home of the Bailes family, has recently become available for groups of up to twelve guests at a time. Surrounding the classic stone farmhouse with its wide verandah, the chalets at Castleton are luxuriously appointed in a comfortable colonial style, and enjoy one of the most beautiful views in the Sabi Sand Reserve.
Parties of guests at Castleton are attended by their own personal tracker and game ranger, and an open Land Rover is placed at their disposal. Dinner may be taken in the sumptuous colonial dining room of the farmhouse, or around the fire in the small private boma. Long relaxing days between game drives may be spent around the cool, dark waters of Castleton's pool.
Please Note:
Castleton Camp can only be booked for the exclusive use of families and small groups of 12 guests.
Game Viewing
Singita offers wonderful opportunities for big five sightings. The reserve is on the migration routes of many prey species, and sightings of lion, leopard and even the elusive Cape Hunting dog are common. Time spent at Singita is time spent at the very heart of the African wilderness, in a place that grew out of the bushveld.
Activities
Your time at Singita is your own. While we offer game drives and walks, and the finest big five game viewing in Southern Africa, Singita is distinguished by the wide range of activities our guests are free to enjoy at the lodges. Clay pigeon shooting is available on request, or guests may try some seasonal fishing in the rivers. You may ask your ranger to requisition a private Land Rover, or you may choose to join one of the daily drives or group walks. Bush breakfasts and sunset cocktails may be arranged for you in some of the most scenic spots in the reserve, or you may dine on the privacy of your deck. A guided visit to Justitia Village, just outside the boundary of the reserve, will provide you with fascinating insights into the life of the local Shangaan community. In the reserve, highly trained and experienced rangers and trackers will introduce you to an Africa few have been privileged to see, while the lodge staff, headed up by internationally trained management and a highly sought-after executive chef will ensure that your stay is not simply pleasant but truly memorable.
Food and Wine
Singita's executive chef has worked in the food capitals of the globe, and brings this international experience to the superb ingredients he finds in Africa. Guests at Singita will encounter something truly original: a cuisine inspired by African flavours yet guided by the Western culinary tradition.
Complementing the menu is Singita's hidden treasure: the best bush cellar in Africa. Buried deep in the cool rock below Boulders, the cellar boasts a truly unique and comprehensive cross section of over 12,000 bottles of South African and International wines. And Singita provides the perfect environment in which to enjoy them.
Spa
Singita’s luxury Spa offers a range of quality professional treatments from massage on the deck of your suite to acupuncture and chiropractic with highly experienced practitioners. In the fully equipped health centre, you may keep up your fitness regime with the assistance of our personal trainer or the more adventurous athlete might want to go for a guarded jog through the bush.
